December 7 | Riverhouse on the Deschutes and the Domino Room, Bend
The jazz duo Smudge will be playing at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes as part of the Thursday Night Jazz series. Enjoy the vocal and electric bass performance while you eat at the Riverhouse’s restaurant Currents. You can also check out The California Honeydrops at the Domino Room, and R&B, funk and soul band that always brings the party.
A PC XMas

If you’re looking for a break from the annual holiday traditions, check out “A PC XMas” from local production company 2nd Street Theater. Four classic Christmas stories are turned on their heads and give contemporary problems.The result is a night of satirical plays that are both familiar and hilarious.

December 9–10 | Unitarian Universalist Church, Willow Lane and The Workhouse, Bend
Find handmade gifts from local artists and artisans at the winter markets held at the Willow Lane Artists Creative Space and at The Workhouse. The Bend co-working studios for artists have dozens of local artists working in the space, crafting everything from jewelry to paintings. Find holiday gifts such as pillows, soap, wood work, candles, ceramics and more. Additionally, Central Oregon Locavore hosts its eighth annual local gift fair at Bend’s west side Unitarian church on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items include art, clothing and jewelry with food from El Sancho.
Downtown Redmond Holiday Charm Stroll
December 9 | Downtown Redmond
On Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., head to downtown Redmond to enjoy holiday treats and refreshments as you browse through the local shops in the historic district, which was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places. There will also be an opportunity to take pictures with Santa. To participate in the Charm Stroll, bring a donation of winter clothes, toiletries or cash that will be given to NeighborImpact, St. Vincent DePaul, Redmond VFW and the Redmond Police Station.
Central Oregon Winter Beer Festival
December 9 | Goodlife Brewing, Bend
Head to Goodlife Brewing on Saturday for the fifth annual Central Oregon Winter Beer Festival. Find a variety of seasonal and specialty craft beers brewed for the season at Goodlife’s outdoor beer garden. The festival aims to have all of Central Oregon’s breweries represented at the event this year.
