Art in the High Desert

More than one hundred artist booths will line the banks of the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District for Art in the High Desert. Both national and local contemporary artwork will be on display and available for purchase as part of the juried exhibition. The event is free and a favorite for fine art appreciators and collectors.
Hydro Flask Seconds Sale & Social Hour
August 25 | Bend
The Hydro Flask Seconds Sale & Social Hour is your chance to grab one of the ubiquitous water bottles at a lower price. Held at the Hydro Flask headquarters on Bend’s west side, the Seconds Sale will also have Humm Kombucha to drink while you shop for the water bottles, pints and growlers. The sale is a fundraiser that benefits the Central Oregon Trail Alliance and the Deschutes Land Trust. The event starts at 2 p.m.
The Airshow of the Cascades
August 25-26 | Madras
Watch an array of vintage planes, stunt flyers and more at The Airshow of the Cascades. Held at the Madras Municipal Airport, there will be a variety of performances on the ground, including a car show, and in the air. Helicopter rides, airplane rides, live music, fireworks, and food and drinks are all part of the fun.
Volcanic Bike & Brew Festival
August 25-27 | Mt. Bachelor
Many people know Mt. Bachelor as a winter destination, but there are plenty of opportunities to shred the trails in the summer—just on two wheels. Now in its third year, the Volcanic Bike & Brew Festival at Mt. Bachelor is a three-day party centered around all things mountain biking. There will be mountain biking races from the Oregon Enduro Series, as well as demos, bike clinics, live music, and food and drink vendors all weekend long. Make a weekend out of it by camping up at the mountain.
The Showcase of Wine, Cheese & Brew
August 26 | Sunriver Resort
There will be hundreds of varieties of wine and local craft beer and spirits to sip on while you sample gourmet cheese, hor d’oeuvres at the Showcase of Wine, Cheese & Brew at Sunriver Resort. Live music and a silent auction round out the evening event that serves a benefit for La Pine Sunriver Habitat for Humanity.
