Munch & Music
July 27 | Drake Park, Bend
This Thursday, head to Drake Park for free, live music from The Brothers Comatose. Munch & Music takes place each Thursday in July and August. The music starts at 5:30 p.m., and you can also find local food and drink vendors, local arts and crafts booths, and activities for kids and families.
Sisters Folk Festival Free Summer Concert
July 27 | Fir Street Park, Sisters
You can also find free music in Sisters this Thursday. The Sisters Folk Festival puts on free shows at Fir Street Park beginning at 6:30 p.m. Listen to the Nashville bluegrass band The Barefoot Movement.
Bacon & Brew
July 28 | Downtown Redmond
Get your fill of beer and bacon at the Bacon & Brew Festival. A fundraiser for the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, the festival is 21-and-over and will feature a variety of local beer and spirits as well as bacon-inspired food. There will also be an auction of items donated by the Chamber members and live music throughout the evening.
Balloons Over Bend
July 28-30 | Bend and Sunriver
Balloons Over Bend, the annual fundraiser for Saving Grace, kicks off each morning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a sunrise launch at Jewell Elementary School. If you can’t catch the shows then, the Night Glow event (held at Riverbend Park in Bend on Friday and Sunday and at Sunriver Resort on Saturday) after sunset is an illuminating experience, when the balloons glow against the dark sky. On Saturday, a children’s festival takes place at Deschutes Historical Society with activities for kids and families.
Music on the Water at Elk Lake
July 29 | Elk Lake
In the summer, Elk Lake Resort brings live music to the shores of the popular alpine lake. This Saturday, spend the evening listening to live music from Cosmonautical. You can bring your own picnic to listen to the music, or eat at the resort’s restaurant that is open. Music starts at 5 p.m.
