Sunriver Village Christmas Tree
Running Events
November 23, 24 | Bend, Redmond, Sunriver
There are two chances on Thanksgiving day to get in your workout before dinner hits the table. In Bend, the I Like Pie Run (5k, 10k or 1-mile family fun run/walk) will take place in the Old Mill District. And in Redmond, the Turkey Trot 5k or 10k will take place on the Radlands Trail on Friday. If you miss those, there will be a 5k fun run/walk on Friday in Sunriver that benefits NeighborImpact.
Sisters Holiday Celebration and Parade
November 24-25 | Downtown Sisters
The holiday season celebration in Sisters kicks off with the tree lighting ceremony in Fir Street Park on Friday evening. On Saturday, head to Hood Avenue to see the Christmas Parade march through the town. After, there will be treats and a chance to meet Santa at the Sisters Chamber of Commerce.
Sunriver Holiday Events
November 24-25 | Sunriver
Head to the Village at Sunriver for the second annual Rockin’ Holiday Kickoff. There will be hot cocoa and hot coffee to sip while you and your family listen to carolers sing classic holiday tunes in the village. Kids can get a free photo with Santa, and also ride the Alpine Express Trackless Train through the village. After sunset, stay for the Christmas tree lighting and a concert. Throughout the weekend, get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping at Holiday Marketplace at Sunriver Resort, which will have gift ideas from local and regional artists and artisans.
The Weather Machine
November 25 | The Belfry, Sisters
On Saturday, go to Sisters to catch The Weather Machine playing at the Belfry. Based in Portland, The Weather Machine is an indie-folk band with roots in Sisters (singer Slater Smith grew up in the town). The band has two albums and has toured throughout the United States, including playing at the Sisters Folk Festival.
The Nutcracker

The Academie de Ballet Classique will stage two performances of The Nutcracker on Saturday. Bring the whole family to the Tower to watch the classic holiday ballet performed by a local ballet and dance company.
