SUMMARY:Bend Brew Fest
DESCRIPTION:Bend Brewfest\, Central Oregon’s annual celebration of all things craft beer\, will once again transform the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend\, Oregon’s Old Mill District this summer. Over the three-day event\, visitors will enjoy an inspired lineup of brews from more than 60 breweries. Also featured are ciders\, wines and the annual X-Taps with limited-release small batch beers.\nEach year\, the event raises money for local charities. Money raised in 2018 will serve four nonprofit organizations: Deschutes River Conservancy\, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon; Neighbor Impact; and Bend Fire Department’s Community Assistance Program. \nBend Brewfest features booths from well-known breweries all the way to small-batch nano-breweries. Local food vendors and a festive atmosphere round out the well-loved annual event. \nAdmission information:\nAdmission is FREE. For tasting: A one-time purchase of a souvenir mug is required. Mugs are $20 and come with 5 tokens.\nAdditional tokens are sold in packs of five for $5. Each 4 oz pour is one token\, full beers are 4 tokens. X-Tap beers are 2 tokens for 4 oz. Tokens are non-refundable.

DESCRIPTION:The “Salute to Veterans” Golf Scramble benefit for Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO) is happening August 18\, 2018 at River’s Edge Golf Course in Bend\, OR. This is the fourth annual golf scramble to support COVO’s services to Veterans and the homeless community of Central Oregon. “Each year this golf event is just a lot of fun for everyone who comes to play.”\, shared COVO’s Executive Director\, Navy Veteran JW Terry. “Every player and sponsor knows their donation goes to help folks who come through COVO’s doors distraught\, and leave knowing they have people on their side who respect them.” \nThe event opens with a Welcome Gathering at 7:30 a.m. and the Shotgun Start is at 8 a.m. Players enjoy 18-holes of play\, golf cart\, lunch from River’s Edge Bogey’s Café\, on course events and prizes. Raffle items include golf and restaurant packages\, and more. Teams or individuals are welcome to join the fun.
