It could be likened to a campfire slow cooker. During their innumerable river rafting and kayaking trips\, Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe staff have developed a myriad of culinary methods and recipes designed specifically for Dutch ovens. Pineapple upside-down cake\, apple pie\, chicken and dumplings\, eggplant parmesan\, roasted veggies and Owyhee bacon loaded cornbread are just some of the dishes sampled at past Dutch oven cooking clinics.
