SUMMARY:Desert Reflections: Water Shapes the West
DESCRIPTION:Water shapes both the High Desert landscape and the ways in which humans and animals live within it. For Desert Reflections\, the Museum has commissioned four artists to create contemporary works in response to the complex topic of water in this region. This unique and interdisciplinary exhibition will explore regional concerns and global issues surrounding this precious resource. How is water in the High Desert managed\, what challenges arise\, and how are people collaborating to create a sustainable future? \nMade possible by Avion Water Co\, Alex Hodge Construction\, Bend Cultural Tourism Fund\, Bend Foundation\, Central Oregon Visitors Association\, Combined Communications\, Ford Family Foundation\, KTVZ-KFXO\, OCF Creative Heights\, and Oregon Cultural Trust. \nWith support from Bend Magazine\, Central Oregon Radiology Associates\, Chubb\, the Jackson Foundation\, James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation and the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies.
