DESCRIPTION:The Bend Premier Real Estate Bite Of Bend Returns\nJune 14th-16th!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBringing together chefs\, bartenders\, brewers\, food enthusiasts\, home cooks\, and local purveyors for a three-day food festival on the streets of downtown Bend! Last year\, the Bite of Bend showcased over 40 food & beverage vendors from around the region. New this year — Cocktail Week! \nBite Of Bend 2019\nFriday\, June 14 (5-10pm)\nSaturday\, June 15 (11am-10pm)\nSunday\, June 16 (11am-6pm) \nThere will be live music\, food\, drink and fun for all ages! \nLive Music (Friday\, Saturday\, & Sunday)\nThree days of live music! Friday night includes performances from Circle of Willis\, The Hawthorne Roots and Eagle Eyes. \nSaturday festival goers will be treated by six performances – The Notables Swing Band\, Redbird The Band\, Toast And Jam\, The Bond Brothers\, Darin Jones & The Last Men Standing and closing out the night will be Chicago’s Lowdown Brass Band. \nFinishing off the festival Sunday night is the Travis Ehrenstrom Band\, Honey Don’t\, Juju Eyeball and the Idle Poets! \nTop Chef Competition (Saturday 11am-6pm & Sunday 11am-3pm)\nThe “Kitchen Stadium” comes alive with delicious tastes and smells of Central Oregon’s most talented chefs. Two full sized kitchens will be set up for the Top Chef Competition right in the middle of downtown. The kitchens will hold a full pantry that each team has access to for their ingredients. \nFor those unfamiliar with the Top Chef event format\, two chefs are presented with a mystery ingredient and must\, in 45 minutes\, come up with an entree that wows the palettes of the distinguished panel of judges. They must also prepare either an appetizer or dessert to go with. We will start with eight chefs in a round robin format. Winners of each round will advance to the next stage\, leading up to the final championship round to determine who will be the 2019 Bite of Bend’s Top Chef! \nMixology Showcase (Friday 5-9pm & Saturday 11am-9pm)\nThis 2-day event celebrates the best of the region’s cocktail culture\, including best spirits\, mixers and latest cutting-edge cocktail techniques. The Mixology Showcase features competitions such as the Bartenders Brawl\, tastings\, pairings\, workshops and a gathering of industry professionals\, cocktail connoisseurs and at-home mixologists. \nCocktail Week (June 10-14)\nCocktail Week is a week long celebration of the Central Oregon cocktail scene culminating with the Mixology Showcase and Bartender’s Brawl at the 2019 Bite of Bend. Ten bars and restaurants will each be paired up with one of ten regional distilleries to create a unique cocktail featuring the distillery’s spirits. These creations will be made available at the participating establishments for $5 during Cocktail Week and also be featured in the Summer Happy Hour Guide hitting stands on June 6\, 2019. \nBend Business Showcase (Saturday & Sunday)\nThe Conscious Living Showcase. It’s a wonderfully popular shout-out showcasing those businesses who help us live a healthy lifestyle in Central Oregon. \nBite Of Bend Beer Run (Sunday\, June 16\, 12pm)\nBrought to you by Princess Athletic\, the Beer Run sends participants along a 5k race loop through Drake Park along the Deschutes River and back through Columbia Park\, enjoying the fine beer from 10 Barrel\, Cascade Lakes\, Deschutes and Immersion breweries along the way. Runners will finish with a full beer while perusing the delicious vendors available at The Bite of Bend! The first 500 racers will receive a commemorative Bite of Bend Beer Run souvenir. Bonus prizes are awarded to participants in best costume. \nLittle Hopper Root Beer Run (Saturday\, June 15\, 12pm)\nLittle ones like to drink and run too — drink root beer\, that is! Another PacificSource Kids Rock the Races event\, runners between the ages of 3-10 will have a blast on this fun course! Participants will race while building the key components of their root beer float\, concluding with a refreshing and thirst-quenching root beer and frozen yogurt finish!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteering at festivals and races is a great way to meet new friends and get involved in the community! Plus\, it includes awesome perks\, too – discount to an upcoming LIOE Race or free entry to an upcoming festival. Sign up and experience the rewarding feelings that come with giving back to the community and meeting new people!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLay It Out Events produces more than 20 festivals\, races and contract events each year. Events include Oregon WinterFest\, Bend Fall and Summer Festivals\, Bite of Bend\, The Little Woody\, Cascades Wedding Show\, Balloons Over Bend Children’s Festival and Theater in the Park. LIOE Races include the Happy Girls Run Series\, Haulin’ Aspen\, Salmon Run and Kids Rock the Races. For each ticketed event and race\, LIOE donates a portion of proceeds to local nonprofit organizations. Through our beneficiaries\, we raise awareness and much-needed funds for vital nonprofit groups across the Northwest.
