SUMMARY:Reelin' in the Years - A Steely Dan Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Major Dudes is Bend’s premier Steely Dan tribute\, a group of seasoned local musicians united by a shared obsession: the immaculate grooves\, razor‑sharp arrangements\, and sly storytelling of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. With a deep respect for the Dan’s studio perfectionism — and a healthy dose of their wry spirit — Major Dudes brings these iconic songs to life with precision\, warmth\, and a sense of play.

SUMMARY:OSU-Cascades Science Pub: Why Rivers Run Dry
DESCRIPTION:Join hydrologist and researcher Skuyler Herzog for an insightful exploration of the science and philosophy behind river restoration across Central Oregon’s diverse watersheds. Drawing on research from Whychus Creek\, the Upper Crooked River\, and Thirtymile Creek\, this talk will reveal how restoration impacts water flow\, quality\, and fish habitat. Beyond the data\, Dr. Herzog invites us to consider deeper questions: What defines a successful restoration? What happens when our visions for recovery differ? And how can we find common ground in caring for our rivers?

SUMMARY:Funk Around and Find Out Live Show
DESCRIPTION:It started here. \nA year ago\, Funk Around & Find Out launched at The Commonwealth. On April 25\, we’re coming home to the stage where it all began. Same soul. New chemistry. Still unmistakably FAFO\, but more dialed in\, more seasoned\, more stylish\, and more dangerous in all the right ways. The kind of upgrade you feel before you can explain it. We’ve been offstage for two months. We haven’t been sitting still. There’s a reason this next show feels different. You’ll hear it. You’ll see it. And once the room locks in\, you’ll know exactly why this is the one not to miss. If you’ve been with us since the beginning\, this is your homecoming. If you’ve been waiting to catch your first FAFO show\, make it this one. This show is free but make sure to come early! Bring people who like great sound and bad decisions on the dance floor. \nThis is not just another show\, this is a coming out party. Come join us!

SUMMARY:May Group Exhibit ”Bloom” at Tumalo Art Co.
DESCRIPTION:Our May Group Exhibit\, “Bloom”\, moves past the garden gate to celebrate the many ways we unfold. The show opens May 1\, from 3-7pm during the Old Mill District First Friday Gallery Walk. \nBeyond the petal and the vine\, “blooming” is a state of being.\nA courageous\, quiet riot of becoming exactly who and what we were meant to be. The works gathered in the show from our group of artists\, in all media\, and expressions of the theme\, and sizes from small to large\, capture those fleeting\, beautiful seconds of transition\, exploring the gentle strength it takes to open up after a long winter. Both metaphorically and physically. \nTumalo Art Co. is an artist-run gallery in the heart of the Old Mill District\, open seven days a week. tumaloartco.com; 541-385-9144.
