SUMMARY:Ladies Book Swap and Meet Up at Bridge 99 Brewery
DESCRIPTION:Here’s how our monthly book swap works: Pick a book you can finish in about a month and are willing to give away\, read it\, then join us on the first Tuesday of each month for drinks and discussion about what we loved or hated in our books. You can also bring books you’ve never read or read long ago – most people bring 1 or 2 books to swap\, but bring more if you’d like! After chatting\, we swap books and take our new selections home to read before the next meeting. We’re doing this to reach our goal of reading at least one book a month in 2025 while staying motivated\, getting free books\, discovering new perspectives\, and making book friends. All are welcome!

SUMMARY:Untamed Bloom in August with Sarah B. Hansen
DESCRIPTION:Sarah B. Hansen opens her August exhibit\, “Untamed Bloom”\, at Tumalo Art Co. on August 1\, from 3-7 pm during the Old Mill District First Friday Gallery Walk. \n“Untamed Bloom” is a series that celebrates the wild\, resilient energy of nature and the human spirit. Inspired by wildflowers that thrive in unexpected places\, these paintings explore emotional depth through color\, movement\, and the use of negative space. Each piece reflects a different state of being—vibrant\, unraveled\, quiet\, or bold. This series is a tribute to resilience\, to beauty that refuses to be contained\, and to the emotional wilderness we all carry within. The mixed media paintings in this exhibit are large format\, creating a strong presence. \nTumalo Art Co. is an artist run gallery in the heart of the Old Mill District\, open 7 days a week. tumaloartco.com; 541-385-9144.
