Your place setting will consist of one large plate\, one smaller side plate\, a bowl and a drinking vessel\, all carefully designed and crafted by a local potter. SUMMARY:Cowdeo at Jefferson County Fair Complex
DESCRIPTION:Cowdeo Mission Statement-Providing an opportunity for kids ages 5 – 14 to experience friendly rodeo competition in a family atmosphere\, while contributing to community non-profit organizations. \nCowdeo originated in 1968 by the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church as a fundraising opportunity. In 2003\, the Jefferson County Event Complex took over the fundraising event and turned it into a fundraising opportunity for not only the Event Complex\, but for other organizations/groups. \nKids 5-14 are able to compete in their age division (5\, 6-8 PeeWee\, 9-11 Junior\, 12-14 Senior) for belt buckles in each event. Participants also strive to win the All-Around Saddle. Events are Sheep Riding (PeeWee’s)\, Barrel Racing\, Keyhole\, Horseless Roping\, Calf Riding\, Breakaway Roping\, Cow Riding (14 yrs)\, Goat Decorating (PeeWee’s) and the Chicken Rabbit Scramble (5 yrs and under). \nWe get kids from all over the Northwest who compete and look forward to Cowdeo every year. It is truly an event that if you have never seen you need to check it out! The kids make the show what it is and without help in sponsorship and donations from individuals and businesses we would not have the Cowdeo that it is. The Cowdeo gives kids who are not ranked in the top ten of the PeeWee groups and Junior Rodeo Association the opportunity to win a belt buckle and/or All-Around Saddle.

DESCRIPTION:The Play Forever Mountain Clean-Up Day is back again! On Saturday\, Sept. 27\, grab your sturdy hiking shoes\, and head up to the mountain to help us collect litter before the snow flies. \nHere’s what you need to know:\nRegistration is FREE and will be required to participate. Registration will be capped at 200 total participants. \nRegistered participants will get: \n\nComplimentary lunch\nEntry to the 2025-26 Winter Season Pass raffle\nA single-day scenic chairlift ticket\, valid during operating hours through closing day on Oct. 5.\n\nCheck-in is at the West Village base area. Upon check in we’ll loan you grabber tools and reusable buckets for trash collection. We’ll focus on collecting litter along the perimeter of the parking lot\, in the Nordic Center\, off the shop road\, and around the base area buildings. We may even head to Skyliner and Sunrise if time and resources allow. \nFor the safety of our guests and employees\, all guests must stay on designated hiking trails (Evergreen or Fly Creek) if they choose to search for litter on the slopes. Wandering off designated hiking routes to collect litter will not be allowed. Don’t worry though\, our teams will retrieve litter under Pine Marten and off designated trails when we are closed to the public. \nCome prepared! Wear proper footwear and gloves — sunscreen\, hat\, sunglasses\, layers\, and a pack with water and snacks are strongly recommended. \nThanks for helping Mt. Bachelor protect the environment so future generations can Play Forever!
