SUMMARY:Bristol Hospice Butterfly Release Event
DESCRIPTION:Bristol Hospice is holding our 2nd Annual Butterfly Release event on Saturday\, June 1st at Riverbend Park in Bend. Bristol Hospice began holding this ceremony in 2023 as an event for bereaved families to commemorate a loved one by releasing butterflies. The staff at Bristol Hospice wanted to create an uplifting ceremony for our patient’s families who have experienced a loss. The bereaved families that Bristol Hospice served in the past year will receive a personal invitation to the event but we want the community to know that all are welcome to attend. The ceremony will include music\, an inspirational message\, a reading of honored names\, butterfly release\, cookies & refreshments. \nThis event is free to the public\, all are welcome. Attendees who wish to reserve an individual butterfly to release are encouraged to RSVP by Wednesday\, May 29th. Attendees can RSVP by phone (541) 550-1155 or by email: butterfly@bristolhospice.com. Attendees will have the option to list the name of their loved one to be read during the ceremony. Check-in will begin at 11:30am and the ceremony will begin at 12:00pm. Attendees who have reserved a butterfly will check in and receive an envelope with one butterfly to be released during the ceremony.
