DESCRIPTION:More Than Words: Expression\, Identity\, and Access \nA reflection on communication\, disability\, and the power of inclusive outdoor spaces to shape identity and community.\nPlease join AdventurUs\, SheJumps\, and Between Evergreens\, for the fourth annual Bend Women’s Speaker Series – “Empowering Women Through Adventure” at Embark Coworking Community. \nOur March Speaker Series night offers a unique and special perspective as Cara Frank shares her personal outdoor journey. Cara speaks to her upbringing as a Deaf woman navigating an auditory world\, and how the outdoors became a place of connection when spoken words fell short. Through sport and shared movement\, she traces a quiet path toward confidence\, leadership\, and belonging and how those experiences shaped a deeper commitment\, through Oregon Adaptive Sports\, to creating access and community in the outdoors. \nA live sign language interpreter will be onsite making this evening more accessible for all!
