SUMMARY:Public Land Stewards Summer Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Join Public Land Stewards this summer for a community cleanup effort in the China Hat area. Be part of the solution and make a difference in protecting our public lands. Every volunteer effort helps keep these incredible outdoor spaces clean and accessible for everyone to enjoy. Meet at 43°58’43.0″N 121°13’27.4″W Bend\, OR 97702. Entry through the gate at the end of Horse Butte Road (NF 1815). Once through the gate\, you will be directed towards the clean-up area. The gate will open at 8:45 am. Please arrive by 9:15 am to participate. \nWhat to bring: \nBring water\, sunscreen and bug spray. Wear layers\, closed-toed shoes\, and long pants. Bring gloves if you have them; otherwise\, they’ll be provided. \nCoffee\, snacks\, cold beverages\, and lunch will be provided. \nEntry will be granted only to volunteers for the clean up\, so please have proof of your Eventbrite handy. \nPlease register through Tread Lightly! DESCRIPTION:As the weather changes\, we’re gearing up for this year’s cleanups. To kick off the season\, we’re hosting a community BBQ and fundraiser to unite new and familiar faces and celebrate our amazing volunteer base—thank you\, residents! Join us on Saturday\, April 12th\, at 4 PM at the Kirby Nagelhout facility\, which is generously supporting the event. Deschutes Brewing will provide beverages while we BBQ. We’ll have presentations\, a Q&A session about getting involved with PLS\, and an auction fundraiser featuring local business donations.
