The holiday events are in full swing this weekend. There are runs for charity on Thanksgiving, holiday markets to find local handmade goods and Holiday parades in Sisters and Redmond.

Thanksgiving Running Events

Get your workout in before or after the Thanksgiving meal with a host of running events this weekend. In Bend, the I Like Pie Run takes place at the Old Mill District on November 22. If you’re in Redmond that morning, the 5k and 10k Turkey Trot will take place at the Deschutes Fair & Expo Center. And on Friday, a 5k run or walk is held in Sunriver.

Sisters Holiday Celebration and Parade
November 23-24 | Downtown Sisters | Free

On Friday, don’t miss the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. in Fir Street Park. And on Saturday at 2 p.m., the streets of downtown Sisters will be taken over by the Christmas parade. After, kids can visit Santa at the Christmas Village.

Holiday Marketplace
November 23-24 | Great Hall, Sunriver | Free

This is the seventeenth annual arts and crafts holiday marketplace held at the Great Hall in Sunriver. Find one-of-a-kind gifts for you and your friends and family. Handmade items include jewelry, fine art, pottery, textiles, woodworking, soaps and lotion.

Starlight Christmas Parade
November 24 | Downtown Redmond | Free

Grab your spot on the sidewalk in downtown Redmond before sundown to watch the Starlight Christmas Parade filled with floats from local businesses. This year’s theme is Silent Night. After the procession, stick around the area for the Christmas tree lighting.

Into The Woods Holiday Market
November 23-24 | The Commons, Downtown Bend

Find a curated selection of artisan goods at the Into The Woods Holiday Market. Held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Commons near Drake Park in downtown Bend, the market will have a variety of handmade items from local businesses like Axiology, Metolius Tea, Wildflower Mobile Boutique, Holm Made Toffee and more.

Live Music

On Friday night, check out Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters with Honey Don’t at The Domino Room. Local folk favorite The Weather Machine will be playing at The Belfry in Sisters on Saturday night.
