SUMMARY:Dirksen Derby 18 Snowboard Rally Race
DESCRIPTION:The Dirksen Derby 18 Snowboard Rally Race returns to Mt. Bachelor this December 19-21\, 2025! This iconic event invites the international snowboard and sit-ski communities together for an incredibly fun and memorable weekend. This event features 100% hand-crafted parallel banked slalom race courses\, which have been built at a different location on the lower mountain of Mt. Bachelor every year since the Dirksen Derby’s inception in 2007. \nPhoto courtesy of the Dirksen Derby | Artwork by Adam Haynes\nMore About the Dirksen Derby\nThe Dirksen Derby takes place December 19 through 21\, an event hosted at Mt. Bachelor that brings together more than 500 riders in 24 divisions to showcase skill\, and build camaraderie and connection. Founded in 2007\, the Derby began as a fundraiser for Tyler Eklund\, a Bend snowboarder who was paralyzed as a teenager after a fall at a national competition that year. Since then\, the event has benefited other causes and nonprofits\, including Oregon Adaptive Sports\, ProtectOur Winters\, and the Central Oregon Avalanche Association. \n\n“I know that donations mean a lot to the individuals and nonprofits that receive them\,” founder Josh Dirksen said. \n“But I also realize they need more than just money. They need awareness\, kindness\, understanding\, volunteer support and a strong connection to the greater community.” \n\nIn the past\, the Derby has registered racers from 6 to 76 years old\, whether professionals or the playful—categories are elite\, yogi\, mini-shred\, “older & wiser” and more. But\, “One of my biggest joys each year is seeing our original inspiration (and fundraising recipient)\, tetraplegic rider Tyler Eklund\, race down our Green course together with Kendall Cook from Oregon Adaptive Sports\,” Dirksen said. See more at dirksenderby.com.

On Saturday\, Sept. 27\, grab your sturdy hiking shoes\, and head up to the mountain to help us collect litter before the snow flies. \nHere’s what you need to know:\nRegistration is FREE and will be required to participate. Registration will be capped at 200 total participants. \nRegistered participants will get: \n\nComplimentary lunch\nEntry to the 2025-26 Winter Season Pass raffle\nA single-day scenic chairlift ticket\, valid during operating hours through closing day on Oct. 5.\n\nCheck-in is at the West Village base area. SUMMARY:RendezVan Festival
DESCRIPTION:RendezVan returns to Mt. Bachelor on April 16th to April 19th\, inviting locals and visitors alike to celebrate spring shredding\, live music\, and van-life culture in the heart of the resort’s West Village base area. \nRendezVan is the celebration of our amazing community of RVers\, campers\, and van-lifers who make the annual pilgrimage to Mt. Bachelor in the springtime to enjoy soft spring laps and sunshine. Families\, skiers\, riders\, and all travelers are welcome — even the dogs are invited! \nNot interested in camping out? All are welcome to join for the day to partake in any of the events. The festival center\, including all the music\, vendors\, activities\, and fun competitions are open and free to anyone who would like to join in on the festivities. \nWhile the festival basecamp is packed with activities and fun — the mountain has just as much action going on! Not only will the mountain be open for skiing and riding\, but RendezVan will offer various on-mountain events throughout the four days. We look forward to hosting you for RendezVan!
