Performances will take place on June 20th (7pm) & 22nd (3pm)\, at Bend’s Mountain View High School\, bringing this timeless masterpiece to life for local audiences. \nThis production of The Barber of Seville features a star-studded cast with baritone Adrian Rosales as the charming and clever Barber “Figaro”\, tenor Anthony Nguyen as the dashing “Count Almaviva”\, and mezzo-soprano Grace Skinner as the beautiful and quick-witted “Rosina”. Under the baton of Bend’s own Maestro Michael Gesme\, this production promises to deliver an unforgettable evening of music\, laughter\, and romance! \nRossini’s The Barber of Seville is one of the most popular operas in the repertoire\, known for itsinfectious melodies\, witty characters\, and fast-paced comedy. The story follows the antics of Figaro\, the resourceful (and at times\, acrobatic) Barber\, as he helps Count Almaviva win the heart of Rosina\, who is being kept under the strict watch of her guardian\, the bumbling Doctor Bartolo.
