DESCRIPTION:Join us as we gather from all over the community to collectively work on our mountain bike trails. Our goal is to have 100+ volunteers get a ton of trail work done in one day to keep our trails riding great! \nEVERYONE IS WELCOME! You do not need previous trail work experience. Youth are welcome with a parent/guardian. \nWe’ll meet at 9am at the Wanoga Trailhead. We’ll break into small groups and head to various work sites. We’ll come back by 1pm and celebrate our love of trails with food\, drinks\, and hanging out. \n9a: COTA intro\, Safety Talk\, Present Crew Leader pairs and projects – split into crews\n9:30a – 1p: Trail WORK!\n1p: Lunch and beverages\n2p: Clean up \nWear/bring: wear clothes you don’t mind getting really dirty! Wear closed-toed shoes\, long sleeves and long pants. Wear sunglasses or borrow our eye protection. Bring water and snacks. All events are designed and created for any physical ability. We also have training options to prepare you for success.\nThere are both a 3 and 7 mile course option for individuals and teams. Although both courses are doable for anyone\, the 3 mile course is suitable for beginners.\nTo honor those who serve\, all obstacles and challenges will be based upon real military training and tasks. Tap into your inner strength with the ammo can press\, test your steadiness during the airsoft challenge\, and a gauntlet of walls.\nAs with all RISE Challenge Event races\, it is about community. Finishers go back on the course to cheer those still racing. When everyone has finished\, there is a great after party to celebrate the accomplishments of all.\nThis is more than just a race or fitness challenge.
