    10 Barrel celebrated 10 years in Bend in 2017, and has two pubs where you can find its menu of great food. The neighborhood pub vibe is strong at the west side location, where locals and visitors alike gather year-round around the outdoor fire pit. A revamped design and menu has kept the pub at the top of the list for one of the best places to eat as a family in Bend. Burger and pizza are the go-to order here, but don’t miss local favorite like the steak and Gorgonzola nachos. The tap list is long at the pubs, so stick around and try a pint (or two).

    Both pubs are open from 11 am-11 pm, except for Fridays and Saturdays when they stay open until midnight.

    Since opening, 5 Fusion & Sushi Bar has held a reputation as the best sushi place in Bend, but the menu doesn’t stop there, with gourmet twists on Asian and American fare. James Beard-nominated chef Joe Kim continues to delight regulars and newcomers.     5 Fusion & Sushi Bar is open from 4-9 pm, except on Fridays and Saturdays when they stay open until 10 pm. They offer a weekday happy hour from 4-6 pm.

    For happy hour cocktails or family dinners, 900 wall delivers in service and variety. The Friday night fried chicken special continues to delight, but the rest of the menu deserves to be explored in full. Read more about 900 Wall’s recent renovations here.

    900 Wall is open from 3-10 pm every day, with Fridays and Saturdays open until 11 pm. They offer happy hour everyday from 3-5:30 pm.

  • Ak’s Tea Room at the Redmond Hotel, Homestyle, Redmond

    This quaint, British tea room serves authentic cream teas, pastries and sandwiches. Famous are its freshly baked scones in scrumptious flavor combinations, such as blueberry white chocolate chip or lemon ginger. Nestled in the Historic Redmond Hotel, AK’s Tea Room serves afternoon and high teas.

    Ak’s is open from 10 am-4 pm from Tuesday to Saturday. Sundays have more relaxed hours, being open from 11 am-3 pm, and they are closed on Mondays.

     

  • Angeline’s Bakery and Cafe, Homestyle, Sisters

    Scratch-made breakfast, lunch, and treats get a thumb’s up from the vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free crowds—without sacrificing flavor. Some meat and wheat options are available. Smoothie and produce ingredients often come from the restaurant’s garden.

    Angeline’s Bakery and Cafe’s hours depend on the season. During the summer months, beginning in early June, they are open from 6:30 am-6:00 pm. For the winter months, beginning in early November, they close two hours earlier, at 4 pm.

    The fine dining restaurant inside an unassuming craftsman on Bend’s west side continues to win over locals and visitors. The husband and wife owners and chefs consistently produce some of the best and most innovative plates in town. Whether comfort food in the winter, like the seafood chowder, or vegetable centric meals in the height of harvest, Ariana never fails to create dishes that people choose for fine dining in Bend.   • Bangers and Brews, Homestyle, Bend

    They do one thing and they do it right. With unexpected brats such as wild boar and water buffalo in addition to the classics, this family-run business knows how to style a bun. The chimichurri is pure bliss.

    Bangers and Brews is open Monday to Thursday, 11 am-8 pm, with Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am-9 pm.

     

  • Barney Prine’s Steakhouse and Saloon, American Bistro, Prineville

    Enjoy a grilled onion-topped charbroiled steak in a dining room decorated with artifacts that pay homage to Prineville’s wild West past. Named after the founder of the oldest community in Central Oregon, Barney Prine’s Steakhouse and Saloon offers an upscale dining experience with a rugged flare.

    Barney Prine’s Steakhouse & Saloon is open every day from 4:00 pm-9:00 pm for dinner. The bar is open at 4 pm everyday, and breakfast is served on Sunday morning from 9 am-11 pm.

  • Barrio, Mexican, Bend

    Don’t let the name scare you off, Barrio is upscale taqueria known for its refreshing and original cocktail menu and flavorful food. Dishes here are almost made for sharing and best eaten tapas style. Now located in a larger space, complete with outdoor patio means less time waiting and more time enjoying the lively atmosphere. One of the most popular dishes is the seafood paella, a dish you can’t top anywhere else in town.

    Barrio serves lunch from 11 am-3 pm from Monday through Saturday, happy hour from 3-5 pm daily, and dinner everyday from 5 pm until they close.

    Bethlyn’s is open from Monday to Thursday, 11 am-8 pm. Friday, from 11 am-9 pm. Saturday, from 10 am-9 pm.
