Tango Under the Stars at Drake Park
Come dance, mingle and experience the magic of Argentine Tango at Drake Park on Saturday, July 18 from 6:30 – 9 pm. Tango in Bend (TIB) hosts this free, outdoor tango experience complete with a portable dance floor on the Drake Park Bandshell stage.
Outdoor summer tango dances are popular worldwide from Buenos Aires and Portland to Paris and Tokyo…and now Bend!
“There’s something so romantic about dancing tango under the open sky in a beautiful outdoor setting,” said Robbie Silverman, TIB board member. “We are hoping that we can make this an annual summer tradition in Bend.”
No partner is needed and experienced dancers will offer micro lessons for those new to tango. Whether you’re dancing or just enjoying the music, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening.
