Viking Fest Presented by Sons of Norway

Grab your free-heel skis and get ready for a fun-filled day of Telemark tips, stories and Nordic culture for Viking Fest, presented by Sons of Norway and Ski Bum’s Garage, on Saturday, March 11, 2023. All events are free and family friendly. Activities include a race course with arrow shooting and ax throwing, Viking sword decorating and more! Plus vendor booths including gear demos, Scandinavia-inspired handmade goods and more.

Viking Fest Schedule:
8:30 am: Registration tent opens (please purchase lift tickets first)

9 am: Lifts open

10 am: First lesson sessions begin

11 am: Second lesson session begins

Noon: Viking folk storytime for kids – Fireplace room, second floor in Hoodoo lodge

1 pm: Kristiana Swoosh/Ofte Lofte Start – Downhill race and big air contest at top of Show Off run

2:30 pm: Viking Feats of Honor Race (Axe n’ Arrow while sliding)

3 pm: Event cleanup

4 pm: Awards by the firepit – Beer sales in great room will help support Adaptive Skiing and Avi Research

7:30 pm: Cross country out to the Biathlon range for “Viking Ting”
