Visiting Writer: An Evening with a Kristen Millares Young

Award-winning author, journalist and essayist Kristen Millares Young is the Fall 2024 Visiting Writer in Oregon State University – Cascades’ MFA in Writing program.

She is the author of the novel “Subduction.” The novel was named a staff pick by The Paris Review, referred to as “whip-smart” by The Washington Post and a “brilliant debut” by The Seattle Times. She was the researcher for the New York Times team that produced “Snow Fall,” which won a Pulitzer Prize. Books will be available for purchase. A book signing will follow the reading. Free, but registration requested.
