White Lotus Lion Dancers at Tomi Mart
White Lotus Lion Dance returns this Saturday at Tomi Mart, Bend’s asian market, for a special celebration honoring the Year of the Fire Horse.
The 2:00 p.m. outdoor performance will feature two lions, a live instrument team, firecrackers, and interactive moments with the crowd. It’s customary to “feed” the lion with a red envelope containing cash — a gesture of appreciation for the performers and a symbolic wish for good fortune, gratitude, and prosperity in the year ahead. We’ll have red envelopes available on-site so everyone can take part in this meaningful tradition.
