Dad Bods are Bend’s premier “80’s Party Band” that plays all your favorite 80s rock songs with a few hits from other decades sprinkled in. Bring your dancing shoes for this high-energy show and join the Dad Bods for a fun and exciting night out with the whole family! The Dad Bods feature songs from bands like Duran Duran, INXS, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Poison, The Killers, U2, Black Crowes, The Cars, The Cure, Bryan Adams, Billy Idol, Devo, Pearl Jam, and many more favorites.

Salsa Dancing!

This is a fiesta for everyone! 6 to 6:30 pm Dance Lesson with Emanuel Colombo. No experience or partner is necessary. 6:30 – 8:30 pm Salsa Dancing to the beats of DJ Bello. Captivating audiences with playing that combines poetry and purity with impeccable technique, Stefan is hailed for playing of “uncommon musical substance” that is “striking for its intelligence and sensitivity” (Boston Globe). He will be making his Central Oregon debut and you won’t want to miss this chance to kick off High Desert Chamber Music’s 17th season!

Dad Bods Band Free Concert at McMenamins

Join us for a blast from the past with the return of the Dad Bods 80s cover band! They’re gearing up for a free concert, open to all ages, on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at McMenamins in the Father Luke’s Room.

The Dad Bods bring the party with their energetic performance of classic 80s rock tunes, sprinkled with some hits from other decades. Don’t forget your dancing shoes for this lively show—it’s a night out the whole family will enjoy!

It’s a CELEBRATION of SONG and COMMUNITY! Enjoy easy and uplifting songs taught through call and repeat. Try it and be delighted by the beautiful sound we can make together – all voices welcome!!

HDCM Concert Series: CROWN CITY STRING QUARTET

High Desert Chamber Music’s 16th season, presented by German Master Tech, concludes with Central Oregon favorites the Crown City String Quartet. Their performances have been praised as “sublime” and “simply moving and spectacular”. This Pasadena-based group has been the resident and premier group featured in the HDCM Concert Series, and will be premiering a brand new work by composer Chris Thomas – you won’t want to miss this exciting season finale!

HDCM Sixteenth Annual GALA

High Desert Chamber Music invites you to join us for our Sixteenth Annual Gala! Get dressed in your best and kick off the holiday season with emcee Bob Shaw. This festive party includes a performance featuring the Spotlight Chamber Players, Dinner, Silent Auction, and Dessert Dash. Proceeds to benefit the programs of High Desert Chamber Music – Concert Series and Educational Outreach programs. Semi-formal attire, Reservations required, seating requests taken!
