Oregon High Desert Classic Horse Show

Join us for the largest equestrian Hunter and Jumper show in Central Oregon! Watch world-class riders and their horses navigate jumps in some of the last remaining grass footing rings in the country. This show is the primary annual fundraiser for J Bar J Youth Services, a local nonprofit organization that facilitates positive change for youth.

Each OHDC show day features different competitions, culminating in the Grand Prix event on Saturday, July 11th, at 5:00pm.

The show runs 11:00am-5:00pm Wed-Fri, 11:00am-7:00pm Saturday, and 11:00am-3:00pm on Sunday.

Please feel free to bring chairs or use the provided bleachers. Reach out if you are interested in enjoying the show from the VIP tent and attending the Grand Prix dinner.

Come enjoy the show, get a snack from a food cart, peruse our vendors, and support a great cause.

Party in the Peace Park presented by Mountain Dew

Professional snowboarder Danny Davis will return to Mt. Bachelor this Spring for this season’s Party in the Peace Park, presented by Mountain Dew, on April 3. From 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Danny will be handing out $3,000 CASH in Peace Park. Hang with Danny, shred with your friends and grab complimentary Mountain Dew. On top of all the cash, prizes from Skullcandy, Mountain Dew, and WW Peace Park will be handed out for tricks.

The Party doesn’t stop there! Once you are done sessioning the park, join us from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the West Village Deck for live music, food, and drinks!

OSU-Cascades Science Pub: Footwear Science Can Help Runners Stay Injury-Free

With more running shoe options available than ever, how do you know what shoe is best for you? Whether selecting shoes for training or racing, on road or on trail, Dr. JJ Hannigan, an assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and director of the FORCE biomechanics lab at OSU-Cascades, breaks down the latest science on how footwear affects running biomechanics and injury risk. Backed by research from the OSU-Cascades FORCE Lab, this talk reveals how the right shoes can help runners stay healthy and prevent injury.

Tickets includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and no-host bar. General public: $22.
