This weekend, find a beer festival, an ultra-running event, handmade holiday gifts and more throughout Central Oregon.

Sledfilm 19
November 9-10 | Tower Theatre, Bend | Under 18 $8, Over 18 $10 (Plus $3 fee)

Get stoked for the winter motosports season at Sledfilm 19, a film and awards show featuring backcountry snowmobiling films. There will be $30,000 worth of raffles and giveaways of outdoor gear, lodge stays and more at the shows.

Bend Ale Festival
November 10 | NorthWest Crossing, Bend | $20 tasting mug and tokens

Twenty breweries, forty beers, one day. The Bend Ale Festival in NorthWest Crossing begins with a half-marathon or 10k race and ends with great live music from local bands. In between, taste your way through the local craft brews that will be onsite.

Pray for Snow Party
November 10 | 10 Barrel Brewing (east side), Bend | Free

After the premiere of Pray for Snow: The Movie, stick around 10 Barrel for its annual Pray for Snow bash. There will be live music from Flobots and YUNG BAE, giveaways and, of course, plenty of beer to go around.

Church of Neil
November 10 | Worthy Brewing

The fifteenth annual edition of the Church of Neil touts eight bands on three stages. This year’s rendition is hosted by Worthy Brewing at their flagship east side location. A grassroots event with a cult-like following, the “Church” is a fundraiser for Bend Roots, a music in schools nonprofit. All Neil, all night.

High Desert Chamber Music Annual Benefit Gala
November 10 | Bend Golf & Country Club, Bend | $85

Support Central Oregon’s classical music scene at the Annual Benefit Gala for High Desert Chamber Music. There will be performances from the Spotlight Chamber Players as well as dinner and a silent auction, all hosted by Bob Shaw.

Run The Rock
November 10-11 | Smith Rock State Park, Terrebonne | $75-$135

For the ultra runners, Run The Rock is an annual event offering long race courses at Smith Rock State Park. There are 50-mile, 50k and half-marathon loop style courses in the state park and the Crooked River National Grasslands, offering participants spectacular fall views of the region.

Old Fashion Christmas
November 10-11 | Deschutes County Expo Center, Redmond | Free-$5

The holiday spirit is alive at the Old Fashion Christmas event held at the Deschutes County Expo Center. Stroll decorated booths offering arts and crafts, gifts, food and antiques. There is also a candy land maze that leads to Santa and holiday-themed activities for kids and families.

The People’s Tree
November 12 | The Old Mill, Bend | Free

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., “The People’s Tree,” a Christmas tree that will eventually land on the Capitol lawn, will make an appearance in Bend at the Old Mill. Each year, a different National Forest is selected for the tree, and this year it was the Willamette National Forest. Strictly Organic, Eberhard’s Dairy and Deschutes Brewery will be providing free beverages and the Youth Choir of Central Oregon will sing.
